Israel has a Master of Science in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Israel spent time as a Professional Career Services Professor teaching QuickBooks; as well as being a Mentor for accounting students.

Israel is an avid studier of astronomy. He is particularly intrigued with its relationship to the Jewish calendar.
Joseph Reich, CPA

Joseph is a manager in the firm’s New Jersey office. He manages the firm’s Small Business division, and consults with small business owners, assisting them with all their tax and accounting needs.

Zacharia Waxler, CPA

Zacharia brings over 20 years of accounting experience to his role as co-managing partner at Roth&Co. He works with growing and mature businesses in a range of industries including real estate, e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing and wholesale distribution, and not-for-profit.
Zacharia manages all facets of the firm and its’ development, and frequently gives lectures and presentations throughout the community, keeping the public informed on best business practices and procedures.
KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
1. Gained and renegotiated terms on large business loans for clients via strong network of contacts in Banking and financial institutions.
2. Developed relationships with government entities, assisting a wide variety of organizations, educational establishments, and special needs organizations.
BACKGROUND
In January 2012, Zacharia was admitted as partner of Roth&Co, LLP. He heads the audit and assurance department, overseeing all aspects of engagements including quality control, board presentations, and serving as a chief client liaison. Zacharia has seen success with consulting businesses and non for profits.
EXPERIENCE
Prior to entering public accounting, Zacharia served as a controller for a large, not-for-profit organization for five years. This experience provided Zacharia with the unique inside perspective and ability to understand the operations and finances of an organization from the point of view of both client and auditor.
Zacharia joined Roth&Co as a junior accountant in 2004. After working in a variety of services and industries, Zacharia was placed in charge of client relationships and special engagements. In January of 2008, he took the initiative to start a dedicated Audit & Assurance group, enabling Roth&Co to offer better quality audits, with increased efficiency at a more reasonable price. The Audit & Assurance group is rapidly growing and currently has over 15 professionals dedicated solely to produce a quality and professional product. In 2016 Zacharia was promoted to Co-Managing Partner, where he works alongside Abraham Roth to further grow and develop the Roth&Co firm.
EDUCATION
Zacharia received his B.S. (Honors) in Accounting from Touro College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Zacharia is very active in his local community, frequently assisting them with financial related matters, and was an honoree at the Bonei Olam Dinner in Brooklyn, New York and for 2 years led a team on the Bike 4 Chai charity race, riding over 175 miles in order to raise money.
Alan Botwinick, CPA

With over thirty years at Roth&Co, Alan Botwinick is partner and Co-chair of our highly specialized Real Estate Department. Alan’s knowledge and client portfolio is diverse and encompasses many industries, including wholesale and distribution companies, high net worth individuals, family businesses, and private corporations.
Alan’s primary passion is managing the innumerable intricacies that are associated with owning, operating, investing, and syndicating Real Estate entities. He excels in finding creative solutions to tough tax problems and complex property ownership structures.
EXPERIENCE
Alan began his accounting career at Roth&Co, and his persistent attention to detail, along with strong client relationships, quickly propelled him from junior to partner within 13 years. Alan’s thirty years of dedication to Roth&Co clients has established him as a mainstay of the firm and as the backbone of the Real Estate division. His drive, dedication to clients, and ability to develop and deliver exceptional resources is in strong demand. These outstanding qualities allow him to deliver the valuable results and strategic resources his clients seek and deserve.

Alan received his B.S. (Honors) in Accounting and Economics from Queens College, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants NYSSCPA).

Alan is a regular on the basketball court and when he’s not playing, he’s rooting for his favorite New York sports teams – the Mets, Knicks, Rangers, Jets and Giants. Alan lives with his family in the Five Towns and acts as Treasurer of the Achiezer Community Resource Center and as Gabbai for his local synagogue.
Hershy Donath, CPA

Hershy joined Roth&Co in 2019, bringing over 15 years of public accounting experience to his role as Partner at the firm.
EXPERIENCE
Prior to joining Roth&Co, Hershy spent eight years at Ernst & Young, where he was an Executive Director in the firm’s audit practice.
Hershy has experience advising publicly traded REITs and large privately held Real Estate Funds. His real estate experience spans entities with a wide variety of underlying asset types including office, multi-family, hospitality, internationally based assets, and hard to value opportunity fund assets.
In addition, Hershy was a member of Ernst & Young’s quality network. In this role, Hershy worked with audit teams across the region, who consulted with him for guidance on complex auditing matters, and supported quality initiatives in response to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and internal quality reviews.
Hershy also has valuable experience working across a range of industries including, hospitality, media and entertainment, consumer products and alternative energy.
EDUCATION
Hershy holds a degree in Accounting from Ocean County College, and a Master’s degree from Beth Medrash Govoha.
Hershy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is a Certified Public Accountant in both New York and New Jersey.
