Biography
Pia Pagtalunan, CPA is a director on our audit team based in Roth&Co’s Chicago office. With nearly two decades of audit experience across the U.S. and the Philippines, Pia’s expertise lies in serving a broad range of industries including manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, not-for-profit, the public sector, and hospitality industries. Pia brings strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, with expertise in complex transactions such as business combinations, debt and equity financing, revenue recognition, and share-based compensation. She consistently incorporates best audit practices to deliver greater value in client engagements and is recognized for her leadership in developing high-performing audit teams.
Pia specializes in risk-based audit engagements, presenting findings to senior executives across cross-functional and multinational settings. Her experience spans integrated audit and assurance engagements, including state and federal compliance audits for government agencies and public universities.
Pia earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Illinois CPA Society, and serves as Vice President of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting.
