Tax Supervisor/Manager, NY/NJ/Israel


Summary:

Roth&Co, a top-150 public accounting and advisory services firm, is looking for a dedicated a tax professional to join our team as a supervisor/manager.

 

Skills Required:          

  • 6+ years’ experience in a public accounting firm
  • Ability to manage multiple, high-demand projects simultaneously
  • Excellent technical skills across a broad range of accounting issues
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Top-notch professionalism in high-pressure situations, with both team members and clients
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software.

Responsibilities:

  • Submitting reviewed work to partners with the expectation that minimal or no changes will be required
  • Supporting a collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Being responsible for all engagement management including fee quoting, engagement planning, staffing, engagement letters, and budget approval
  • Overseeing, supervising, and monitoring the work of your team by providing on-the-job training and feedback, as well as ensuring that each project is completed accurately and within budget
  • Identifying areas of risk on an engagement; developing and enacting plans to manage those risks
  • Developing meaningful relationships with clients
  • Actively developing a network of prospective clients and collaborating internally to work with those leads
  • Effectively communicating all aspects of work performed to clients, partners, managers, and staff
  • Supervising and developing staff
  • Identifying expanded service opportunities for existing clients and actively participating in networking, such as within the community and professional organizations
  • Adhering to and communicating firm policies and procedures
  • Performing other job-related duties as required
