Roth & Company LLC is looking for Lead Auditors in its Chicago, Illinois office. Qualified candidates will be coordinating the compiling, preparing, auditing and analyzing financial statements and notes to the financial systems and review entries to accounts using generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); Overseeing auditing financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS); Reviewing and approving financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting principles, and management letter comments; Reviewing and approving compliance report, findings, and schedules; Coordinating audit plans and overseeing audit programs in accordance with GAAS; Organizing audit procedures to test compliance of entity with applicable laws and regulations in accordance with the Attestation Standards; Reviewing clients’ internal control procedures and reporting potential deficiencies, duplication of effort, fraud or lack of compliance with governmental regulation; Developing management letters to recommend improvements to clients’ internal control procedures; Analyzing the engagement and acquiring strong working knowledge of the client’s business; Performing financial risk assessment procedures to properly identify audit risks to design the nature, extent, and timing of audit procedures using PPC tools; Assisting the Audit Manager in engagement administration including developing audit programs, customized procedures, budgets and engagement letters; and Ensuring that audit related issues are successfully resolved.
Salary: $112,000 to $130,000/year
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Accounting or Accountancy and five years’ experience in position or five years’ experience in Accounting or Auditing field.
Special requirements: Experience with coordinating the preparation and audit of financial statements using GAAP and GAAS, overseeing audit programs, testing financial controls, performing financial risk assessments and PPC tools.
