Winter Audit Internship Program, NY/NJ/IL


General Information:
Start Date: January 2024
End Date: April 2024
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00

Training:
Two weeks of in-depth comprehensive training to get familiar with the software and audit methodology. The program is designed to familiarize the interns with the knowledge needed to perform a financial statement audit. After completing the internship program an intern will have the ability to work on an audit effectively and efficiently.

  • Auditing fixed assets
  • Auditing accounts payable
  • Auditing revenue
  • Auditing receivables
  • What is a compliance examination?
  • Compliance over personal services
  • Compliance over contractual services
  • Compliance over travel
  • Compliance over equipment
  • Compliance over operation of auto
  • Compliance over revenue, refunds, and receivables
  • Compliance over mandates
  • Compliance over telecommunication
  • Compliance over electronic data processing

Software you will use:

  • CCH Engagement Solutions
  • QuickBooks
  • Excel
  • PPC Smart Practice Aids

General description of responsibilities:

  • Assist in audit preparation with the team
  • Work with clients’ QuickBooks files
  • Work with CCH Engagement
  • Assist with information gathering and work paper organization

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Accounting
  • Students entering their junior or senior year of college highly preferred.
  • A desire to learn and grow in the auditing field
  • A positive attitude
