
Summary:
Roth&Co is a fast-growing business services and certified public accounting firm. We are looking for an experienced, talented and energetic human resource administrator to join our Chicago location. The successful candidate will play a key role in the success of the firm by being involved in recruitment, hiring, terminations, employee relations and HR best practices, while maintaining a positive morale in the firm. This candidate will be working out of our Chicago office, and reporting to the human resources director in our New York location. This is a full-time position.
Skills Required:
- 2-4 years’ HR experience
- Experience in recruitment, hiring, terminations and employee relations
- Familiarity with HR best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in Microsoft Suite and adaptability to learn new software
- Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
- Strong empathetic and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented nature and excellent organizational skills
- Positive, can-do attitude

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with day-to-day operations of HR functions and responsibilities
- Maintaining HR records
- Participating in and tracking annual performance reviews
- Scheduling, preparing and participating in career fairs
- Responding to employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules and regulations
- Coordinating HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc.)
- Assisting with recruiting and onboarding
- Preparing training schedules for new employees and conducting initial orientation
- Coordinating, scheduling and preparing our internship programs
- Involvement in training and development programs
- Maintaining good handle of CPE credits
- Assisting in creating new policies and procedures as needed
- Providing administrative support by efficiently preparing documentation and materials as needed
