Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated forensic accounting professional to join our team as a senior or senior associate. We expect our seniors to exhibit excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Skills Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in a public accounting firm
- Experience in forensic accounting, business valuations and litigation support
- CFF, CFE or ABV a plus, but not required;
- The capability to supervise one or more staff assistants as necessary
- The ability to manage multiple high-demand projects at once
- Top-notch professionalism both with staff and with clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and tax accounting software
Responsibilities:
- Organizing large amounts of data as well as tracking data provided or pending from client
- Using Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets to quantify data, manipulate data and build modules\perform research
- Reviewing concise and accurate drafts of forensic and valuation reports
- Looking for root causes; understands the complexity that can lie behind the data
- Scheduling projects/engagements based on priorities, due dates, etc. and completing them in a timely manner, avoiding last-minute rush jobs
- Reviewing the work prepared by associates
- Controlling the field work on engagements, making sure that they are done correctly
- Communicating the status of their work to their team internally, and providing clear and timely instruction, to ensure efficient production and the limited need to rework
- Utilizing technical knowledge and skills to submit self-reviewed work, requiring few changes to be made by a manager
- Developing meaningful contact with clients and gaining their confidence
- Participating in the firm’s business development activities by identifying leads for managers and partners to pursue
- Adhering to and communicating firm policies and procedures
- Performing other job-related duties as required
