Training:
The internship begins with two days of in-depth comprehensive training to become familiar with our advisory services, and continues with hands-on training on advisory projects. The program is designed to familiarize our interns with:
- The Paycheck Protection Program and forgiveness
- Employee retention tax credit eligibility and filings
- Due diligence analysis and Quality of Earnings reporting for transactions
- Financial forecasting and projections
- Business valuation calculations and reports
After completing the internship program, our interns have a basic understanding of the financial due diligence process and business valuation methods.
What you will learn how to:
- calculate and process PPP forgiveness
- process ERTC credits and amended payroll tax returns
- complete a due diligence analysis and QofE report
- complete a business valuation report
- complete a business forecast and projection
Software you will use:
- CFS Payroll Systems
- QuickBooks
- Excel
- BV DataWorld
Responsibilities include assisting in the following areas:
- Gathering and organizing information and work papers
- Preparing financial statement analysis
- Gathering data from databases
- Evaluating analyses and data
- Compiling reports
Qualifications:
- Students (preferably entering junior/senior year) in an undergraduate accounting and/or finance program
- A desire to learn and grow in the field of advisory accounting
- A positive attitude
